Crime Prevention and Control

First Annual Conference

The first annual conference of the National Network for Safe Communities will take place on December 2 and 3, 2009 at the Time Warner Conference Center in New York City. A pre-conference reception will be held on Monday, December 1, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 PM at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

The conference will provide, for the first time, a national forum on the gang violence and drug market strategies developed by the Center for Crime Prevention and Control and implemented in many jurisdictions around the country, including Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, High Point, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Providence, and Seattle.

We have arranged special room rates for our participants at the Empire Hotel. Please call the hotel directly at 646.289.8644 to make your reservation. The discounted rates are $299 per night for a Standard Queen room or $399 for a Superior King room. The cut-off date for these rates is October 30th. Rates are on space available basis and may be sold out at any time. The hotel will continue to accept reservations after the cut-off date on a space and rate availability basis.
