Welcome to the homepage of John Jay College’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC). Our mission is to support the College, its students, staff and faculty so that quality and opportunity are maximized and risk is minimized. Under the leadership of Assistant Vice President and Counsel Marjorie Singer, we provide advice and guidance to college officials on a wide range of legal matters, including governance, ethical questions, collective bargaining issues, legal inquiries such as FOIL requests, contracts, grievances and litigation, and a broad range of policy questions affecting the College and its related entities.
