The John Jay College information technology infrastructure incorporates an anti-spam system know as Proofpoint to provide the protection against the exponential volume of unsolicited emails. The Proofpoint system is capable of differentiating between spam and valid email with high accuracy so that you are not bombarded with productivity draining spams. The filtered spams are not deleted but rather quarantined for a specified time in the system during which you can review if you so desire.
