Substantive research areas in intimate partner violence, intimate partner rape, and femicide; Theoretical approach is interdisciplinary and examines how neighborhood factors interact with individual level factors to predict different forms of intimate victimization; interested in the extent to which models of intimate aggression are applicable to populations that differ across race, class, gender, and sexual orientation. Clinical orientation is cognitive behavioral contextualized within communities. Forensic clinical area focuses on assessment of women in violent relationships within the court system.
