Financial Aid Information

College policy prohibits the staff of the Office of Student Financial Services from discussing specific information regarding student financial aid awards on the telephone. Information is available on eSIMS or in person at the Office of Student Financial Services in Room 3400N with a validated John Jay College of Criminal Justice identification card.

In order to have any Financial Aid applied to your tuition payment you must apply early. A FAFSA must be submitted a minimum of six weeks prior to the scheduled bill due date.  You may submit your application electronically over the Internet at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

The Bursar’s Office will deduct outstanding tuition from the first financial aid check available. For example, if tuition is charged to a direct loan and the Pell check arrives first, the tuition will be deducted from the Pell check.
