Payment of Tuition and Fees
Payments may be made in person, by mail, or via the internet. The Bursar's Office accepts payments by cash, check, money order and credit or debit card. Please note, if a student's check has failed to clear in the past, the student will be denied the privilege of paying by check. The College accepts the following cards: VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover Card.
Mail: Payments may be mailed to John Jay College at 899 10th Avenue, attn. Bursar, room 522T, New York, NY 10019. (Do not mail cash.)
In Person: When paying in person, go to the Bursar's Office located at 899 Tenth Avenue, (fifth floor) Room 522. For the students’ own protection, it is recommended that they bring the tuition payment in a money order, check or credit/debit card.
eSIMS: To pay on line, go to the secure site from the John Jay home page at, www.jjay.cuny.edu, then under "John Jay Students" highlight Register on line and enter your eSIMS information. Please note, partial payments are not accepted on line. (Click Here to eSIMS)
Any balance of fees and/or tuition not covered by a verified assistance plan (i.e., TAP, PELL, AMS, or loans) must be paid for by the student on the day of registration or by the last payment date.
A student’s registration is complete after payment is made. If the student has a zero ($0.00) balance, due to financial aid, AMS, or loans, the student must validate the bill . Validation requires the student to return the bottom portion of their bill signed to the Bursar's Office. Students who do not validate their bill, even if they have a zero ($0.00) balance, by the scheduled date risk losing their classes.
Receipts: The Registrar’s Office does not mail out receipts. Students may print their class schedule from eSIMS . Students may go on line from the John Jay home page at www.jjay.cuny.edu, then to eSIMS for your class schedule.
To get a copy of your paid receipt, go to the John Jay home page and click on ONESTOP . This receipt will be accepted by the Security Office and the Book Store. |
