Tuition and Fee Schedule

The Board of Trustees of The City University of New York reserves the right to make changes of any nature in the academic programs and requirements of The City University of New York and its constituent colleges. All programs, requirements, and courses are subject to termination or change without advance notice. Tuition and fees set forth in this publication are similarly subject to change by the Board of Trustees of The City University of New York.

New York Residents (Full-Time)

I. Undergraduate Matriculated - $2,000 (12 or more equivalent credits)

II. All Undergraduate Non-Degree students will be charged tuition on a per credit/hour basis at the rate of $250 per credit/hour.

III. Graduate - $3,200* per semester
   A. Graduate excess contact hours - $65 per additional hour
   B. Maintenance of Matriculation - $750 per semester

New York Residents (Part-Time)

I. Undergraduate Matriculated - $170 per credit/hour

II. All Undergraduate Non-Degree students will be charged tuition on a per credit/hour basis at the rate of $250 per credit/hour.
III. Graduate - $270 per credit/hour
 


Non-State and Foreign Students (Full-Time)

I. Undergraduate Matriculated - $500 per credit/hour

II. All Undergraduate Non-Degree students will be charged tuition on a per credit/hour basis at the rate of $530 per credit/hour.

II. Graduate - $500 per credit/hour

   A. Graduate excess contact hours - $85 per additional hour

   B. Maintenance of Matriculation - $1,250 per semester

 
 
Non-State and Foreign Students (Part-Time)
I. Undergraduate Matriculated - $500 per credit/hour
II. All Undergraduate Non-Degree students will be charged tuition on a per credit/hour basis at the rate of $530 per credit/hour.
II. Graduate $500 per credit/hour - $500 per credit/hour

A resident student is one who has had his/her principal place of abode in the state of New York for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the first day of classes for the semester for which the residency determination is made and who states his/her intention to permanently live and maintain his/her principal place of abode in New York State.

Undergraduate and graduate students are required to pay a student activity association fee in addition to tuition. The fee for full-time undergraduate students is $49.60; the fee for part-time undergraduate students if $39.85; and the fee for all graduate students is $30.35 payable each semester. This fee is non-refundable.

All students, undergraduate and graduate, are required to pay a consolidation fee of $15.00 per semester/session.

NOTE: BA/MA Students are charged the applicable tuition rate once they reach 120 credits, regardless if courses taken after 120 credits are graduate or undergraduate. The student will be re-billed at the graduate rate for all credits over 120. Sims does not recognize a credit until a grade has been posted.
