Areas of Expertise: Analytical chemistry, environmental forensic toxicology
 

Research interests include: 1) headspace liquid-phase microextraction of methamphetamine and amphetamine in urine by an aqueous Drop; 2) single drop liquid-liquid-liquid microextraction of methamphetamine and amphetamine in urine; 3) a rapid and portable colorimetric method for the determination of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) in human urine; 4) synthesis of functional selective ionic liquid (ILs): applications to novel microextraction sample preparation methods in forensic toxicology analysis; 5) finger print of multi-metals in bullet jackets; 6) intelligent sample collection in fire investigation; 6) investigation of arsenic in food samples; 7) cathodic stripping voltammetric analysis of arsenic species in environmental water samples; 8) continuous flow microextraction combined with high-performance liquid chromatography for the analysis of pesticides in natural waters; 9) differential pulse cathodic stripping voltammetric determination of nanomolar levels of dissolved sulfide applicable to field analysis of groundwater.
