Purchasing

One way the College can help with our environmental problems is to purchase recycled products. According to an interview with Hazel Golden of the Purchasing Division by student Anthony Bunnicart the College began purchasing some recycled materials in the mid-nineties. Products made from or using recycled materials include handtowels, toilet tissue, and copy paper. According to Ms. Golden, " There is a great deal of time and resources needed to be able to investigate what products are available in recycled form and which companies offer them. " Perhaps some of this work can be done by students. See help needed, workstudy, and internship.
