Journal of African American Studies is a refereed interdisciplinary journal to serve as a forum for social scientists engaged in the analysis of the unique struggles and triumphs of the black race. It challenges current stereotypes and identifies strategies and policies that may counter the specific problems black men and women face. It is a multidisciplinary forum covering theory, research, and methodology.
