Joshua D. Freilich is the Deputy Executive Officer of the Criminal Justice Ph.D. program and an Associate Professor in the sociology department at John Jay College, the City University of New York. Dr. Freilich’s research focuses on the criminal activities of domestic far-right groups as well as criminological theory. He is a lead investigator for the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a Center of Excellence of the U.S. Department of Homeland.
