Christian completed his Ph.D. in Sociology at CUNY the Graduate Center in 2007. He has a Masters in Public Health from Hunter College (2006) in addition to a Masters of Arts in Sociology from the University of Florida (2003). His areas of expertise are in public health, sexualities, and deviance theory. In addition to teaching at John Jay, Christian also serves as the Director of Recruitment at Hunter College's Center for HIV/AIDS Educational Studies and Training (CHEST). Christian works across all CHEST research projects, overseeing and expediting the administrative aspects recruitment and research administration.
