Justin Ready has been teaching in the Sociology Department at John Jay College of Criminal Justice since 2003. He is a native to Boston, MA where he graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He attended graduate school at Rutgers University, where he also worked as a project manager at the Center for Crime Prevention Studies. He later served as a senior research associate at the Police Foundation. He currently teaches courses in research methods, statistics and criminological theory. His research interests include crime displacement, policing strategies and environmental criminology. His publications have appeared in Justice Quarterly, Criminology, the International Journal of Victimology, Police Quarterly and Crime Prevention Studies.
