Professor Riveron is currently enrolled in Film and Media studies at the New School. Her areas of special interest are deviance and the depiction of the deviant personality in film. She has written an article on The Films of John Cassavetes. She is presently working on a documentary on Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Combat Veterans. Professor Riveron received the Outstanding Adjunct Teacher award in 2002. Professor Riveron teaches Social Deviance each semester. She has also taught juvenile delinquency, criminology and occasionally offers a course she designed and developed, Sociology 293 - The Counterculture.
