If I wasn't an Academic Advisor I would have been a professional modern or ballroom dancer.

My major in college was Sociology and I chose it because it was through my classes in sociology that I was first exposed to the idea that social change is possible by mobilizing groups of people.

The top three life skills that I learned while in college are:
1) critical thinking
2) research
3) effective communication skills

My favorite quote is:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'  Actually, who are you not to be?...There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine, as children do...And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. (Marianne Williamson)

If my life had a theme song it would be Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin.
