Please NoteYou may also register without seeking advisement.
Although not required, transfer students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Advisor.  You are welcome to register for classes on your own and then review your selections with an advisor when you are able to schedule an appointment.

Whatever option you choose, it is very important that you understand your degree requirements.  Please make sure to closely review the following guidelines: Understanding Your Degree Requirements and The Student Degree Audit

Major Advising
It’s very important for you to receive major advising as soon as possible after your transfer credits have been evaluated, so you know even before your first semester exactly what requirements you still need for your desired major! See John Jay’s Major Resource Pages for major advising information and many tips about planning ahead to graduate on time.
