Mission Statement
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice is a vital component of the College. The department is responsible for the software applications, hardware support, telecommunications, media services, computer network and classroom technologies. The department not only provides technical support services to the College community but also initiates technology enhancement projects.
The mission of the DoIT is to empower the user community to effectively use information technologies in achieving a higher level of academic success; facilitating academic innovation in teaching, learning, research and scholarship; and delivering excellent administrative services in support of the College’s mission. The DoIT is committed to collaborate with the John Jay community to provide excellent Information Technology products and services. The department recognizes that the College community has the best chance to succeed when we, at the DoIT, strive for excellence and uphold high standards in our daily operation.
