Welcome to John Jay! We are excited to meet you at an upcoming virtual Entering Freshmen Advisement & Registration session! Please see below for steps to take BEFORE your session to ensure that your time with us is productive:
- Watch this pre-advisement video. In addition to the slideshow below, it will provide you with important information about degree requirements and course planning.
- Access your CUNY First account and have your CUNY First username, password, and EMPL ID on hand at the time of the session.
- Access your DegreeWorks.
- Begin looking at your First Year Seminar options. You will need to select one option on the day of your session so take the time out now to choose one that you're most interested in.
- All sessions will be conducted online through Zoom. You will receive a John Jay email with a Zoom hyperlink. You will need this link to access the virtual advisement session on the date you've selected. When prompted by Zoom, you must provide your full name. This ensures that we can mark your attendance appropriately.
