Bio

Dora Mendez, MPA (she/ella), is a Leadership Coach and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant. Currently, Vice President of Human Resources and Chief DEI Officer at the United Hospital Fund (UHF), Dora plays a pivotal role in the senior leadership team, aligning HR expertise with UHF's mission and values.

Prior to UHF, Dora served as the Director of Talent and DEI at the Student Leadership Network, dedicated to achieving education equity for underserved students. Earlier roles include Director of HR at New York Legal Assistance Group and leadership positions at The Bridge, Inc., Win (formerly Women in Need), and the NY State Division of Human Rights.

In public service, Dora contributed to fair housing rights, including a unique training program for domestic violence survivors at HELP USA's Fair Housing Justice Center. She holds an MPA from the City University of NY-John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she now serves as an Adjunct Professor. A lifelong New Yorker, Dora resides in Harlem with her husband, Dylan Rogers, and their two children. Go, Coach Dora Mendez!
