Providing a multilevel vision, a review of the main legal instruments for the protection of human rights will be provided, paying special attention to the treaties ratified by Spain. The focus will be placed on analyzing a specific number of rights and prohibitions whose variety offers a fair representation of the status quo.
Specifically, the presentation will be centered on the main findings regarding the prohibition of torture, the right to freedom of expression, the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association, the prohibition of discrimination –on grounds of race or gender– linguistic rights, the right to housing or the rights linked to migration.
