Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and Administration and Master of Science in Protection Management Program Requirements

The MPA/MS dual-degree program in Public Policy and Protection Management requires a combined total of 81 credits, including 42 credits for the completion of the Public Policy and Administration M.P.A. program and 39 credits for the completion of the Protection Management M.S. program. However, nine M.P.A. credits common to both programs are also credited towards the M.S. program. Likewise, nine Protection Management credits from courses common to both programs are also credited toward the M.P.A. program.

Consequently, due to the 18 shared credits applied to the dual-degree program, the actual number of credits taken will be 63, resulting in graduation for full-time students in three years instead of the four years necessary to complete both programs independently.

For a detailed list of program requirements and courses, see the program’s entry in the  Graduate Bulletin.
