If you're a student at John Jay and have a disability, whether it's something temporary or permanent, we want you to know that the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) is here for you! We're committed to helping you reach all your academic goals.

At OAS, we work closely with the entire John Jay community to make sure you have access to everything campus life offers. This includes arranging the right academic adjustments, programs, and services to support your success. We can also connect you with helpful resources both on campus and through outside agencies.

 

Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Accessibility Services at John Jay College is to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all college programs, services and activities. It is our objective to see that students with disabilities are provided with an impactful learning experience. The Office of Accessibility Services challenges every individual to be independent, responsible, problem-solvers and self-advocates in charge of their own lives.

Project Reach

Project REACH is a CUNY-wide initiative that provides academic, social, and personal support for students on the autism spectrum and other neurodiverse students. Project REACH offers the following to registered students:

  • Workshop Series on Executive Functioning, Study Skills, and Self-Advocacy
  • Social Skill Development and Networking Events
  • Referrals to Campus and Community Resources
  • Peer Mentoring
