About Community Outreach

Who Are We?

The Office of Community Outreach & Service Learning (COSL)  provides students a pipeline to service.  Connecting student to real-world opportunities, focusing on individual responsibility and civic engagements, cultivating an awareness of community needs. In our office, students become civically engaged either through individual volunteerism, organizational involvement, or events and opportunities that enables them to reach into their communities to address unmet needs and concerns. These positive changes benefit both the student and also the community at large, while providing opportunities to build their social capital. Community Outreach and Service Learning also help students generate their own service and advocacy projects.
