New Student Orientation (NSO) is an important experience for all new students, regardless of academic affiliation or major.  At NSO, you will have the opportunity to become familiar with campus resources and make connections with current students, faculty, and staff before beginning classes.  Because we know that participation in NSO can make a significant difference in your experiences as a John Jay student, all new students are expected to attend.

Your New Student Orientation has two parts: the first being the online orientation via the NSO Portal and the second being attending an in-person NSO session. Completing both parts of NSO will ensure that you are prepared for your first semester at John Jay and connect with other new students!

All eligible students will get an email with the process on how to access the NSO portal and register to attend one of the in-person NSO sessions.
