Students who have not registered for classes at John Jay for one year or more must apply for readmission to the college. Starting Summer/Fall 2026, a non‑refundable $20 application processing fee will apply.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice welcomes students from other campuses within CUNY, as well as students who are interested in taking classes without pursuing a degree. Non-degree (visiting) students are accepted on a semester-to-semester basis, based on space availability. All non-degree (visiting) students must apply each semester through Jay Express by the established application deadline. Apply as a Non-Degree student
