If I wasn't an Academic Advisor I would have been a Recreational Therapist Specialist.
My major in college was Therapeutic Recreation and I chose it because it was fascinating to me to take someone who is at their lowest point or is one second from breaking and flipping it around for them just by giving them a different insight on ways to cope and handle their emotions through activities and fun and get that enjoyment back into their lives.
The top three life skills that I learned while in college are:
1) Leadership
2) Independence
3) It's okay to always ask questions
