Research Summary

Eddie is a doctoral student in the Anthropology Department at the CUNY Graduate Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, and a master’s in Anthropology from the Graduate Center at CUNY.  His current research project looks at rural and agricultural politics in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland after Brexit. Specifically, he is looking at how the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities on both sides of the Irish Border are transformed by the redesigning of agricultural policy in NI after Brexit.  Previously he conducted research on community groups’ efforts to secure renewable energy sources after hurricane María in Puerto Rico.
