Bio
After getting three bachelor’s (English, philosophy, and chemistry) and two master’s degrees, Dr. Hansen received the Ph.D. in English from Columbia University. He taught at Queens College (CUNY), the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY), Pace University, The City College of New York, and John Jay College, the last three for 26 years each, devoting his time to students and their writing. He is working on a philosophical motorcycle memoir and a novel. For the last 22 years, he has been practicing the soft martial arts and has traveled around America on his Harley-Davidson, putting in—so far—a little over one-hundred-and-forty-thousand miles.
