SEEK -Dr. Francisco Medina

 Francisco A. Medina, PhD, is an interdisciplinary scholar and educator who works across psychology, human development, education, and science studies. His work focuses on regenerative and relational approaches to education and pedagogy, learning and development, and the ethics of knowledge to re-imagine and address social challenges. Alongside his teaching, he has worked as a mentor, researcher, and curriculum consultant with several educational programs at CUNY. He is also the recipient of multiple fellowships and awards, including the Mellon Humanities Alliance Fellowship, the Dean K. Harrison Fellowship, the Carnegie Educational Technology Fellowship, and graduate student awards from the American Educational Research Association.  Dr. Medina will begin as a member of the SEEK counseling faculty with the title of Assistant Professor in the SEEK Department at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY) beginning in the Spring 2026 semester.
