Learning Management System
The Learning Management System (LMS) is the enterprise-level platform licensed by CUNY for use on all CUNY campuses for the hosting of course materials, course activities, and student learning resources for all classes. The LMS allows students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face teaching. The LMS is accessed using your CUNY Login credentials, also used for other CUNY applications, such as CUNYfirst and Degreeworks.
John Jay College transitioned to the Brightspace LMS at the start of the Summer 2024 semester. CUNY retired the Blackboard LMS on December 18, 2025 and the platform is no longer accessible. All academic and extracurricular activities (including university mandated compliance training) are now on Brightspace.

- Go to the CUNY.edu main website
- Select Login in the upper right.
- Select Brightspace from the drop-down menu.
The CUNY.edu main website is for all CUNY-wide services, including Brightspace, CUNYfirst, and Degreeworks
