Fatima Pujols is a senior academic advisor in the Department of Public Management at John Jay College. With over nine years of dedicated service within the department, Fatima is deeply committed to guiding students in setting academic goals and supporting them in achieving success throughout their educational journey. She is also an academic program coordinator for the department. Apart from her current responsibilities, she brings extensive public service experience gained from her previous role at the Dominican Embassy in New York. Furthermore, she has a background in translation and interpretation, coupled with years of work with underserved communities. Fatima earned her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology, a Master of Public Administration in Inspection and Oversight, and a Master of Science in Protection Management.

Melissa Joseph - IO Advisor

Ms. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Temple University and a Master of Public Administration in Inspection and Oversight. She comes to the Department of Public Management with nineteen years’ experience in Academic Student Services at universities along the Eastern coast and another five years in general Student Services at Temple University. Most recently, she worked in the SEEK Academic Support Center for Humanities and Social Sciences here at John Jay.

Gentiana Seferaj was born and raised in Albania and migrated to New York in 2012. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Currently, she serves as a graduate academic advisor in the Department of Security, Fire, and Emergency Management. Since 2020, she has had the pleasure and esteemed privilege of guiding students through their academic journeys—helping them navigate challenges and celebrating their successes.

Navoda Katukurunde is a College Assistant in the Department of Public Management at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she provides administrative support, advises MPA students, and leads visual and digital media for program communication and outreach.She holds a bachelor’s in Criminology with a minor in Public Administration and a Master of Public Policy and Administration, with specializations in Human Resources Management and Criminal Justice Policy & Administration. Currently, she is pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Criminal Investigation and is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and Pi Alpha Alpha (PAA).
