ACE Selection Criteria

• Be an incoming new freshman student
• The first semester of enrollment at John Jay must be fall 2026
• Be a regular admit and not admitted to SEEK.
• Earned less than 21 credits (AP, College Now, etc.) prior to the first semester at John Jay College
• Select an ACE-eligible major. Click here to see a list of all ACE-eligible majors.
• Students cannot participate in both ACE and another JJAY special program (SEEK, Honors Scholars, APPLE Corps, Early Start, Adelante, etc.).
• The application for Fall 2026 is not open at this time. Please complete the interest form below. We will contact you when applications open.

• Be a first-time CUNY transfer student from the CUNY Criminal Justice Academy
• Earned an associate's degree by spring 2026
• The first semester of enrollment at John Jay must be fall 2026 (continuing/returning transfers are not eligible)
• Completed prerequisite coursework at prior CUNY community college for the intended ACE-eligible major at John Jay
• Select an ACE-eligible major. Click here to see a list of all ACE-eligible majors.
• Not enrolled in the CJBS online program
• Students cannot participate in both ACE and another JJAY special program (SEEK, APPLE Corps, etc.).
• Be willing to enroll in an in-person transfer seminar course and attend in-person workshops, advising appointments throughout the fall 2026 semester
• Be willing to attend an in-person event each summer (typically hosted on a single day, one week before the semester begins)

• The first semester of enrollment at John Jay must be fall 2026
• Be a regular admit and not admitted to SEEK
• Earned less than 21 credits (AP, College Now, etc.) prior to the first semester at John Jay College
• Students cannot participate in both ACE and another JJAY special program (SEEK, Honors Scholars, APPLE Corps, Early Start, Adelante, etc.).

Summer Program Details

• Attend the MBK Connect Orientation, July 7-9, 2026
• Enroll in a 5-Week Summer course from July 13-August 13 and attend all classes that meet Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00am-3:00pm
• Receive a free, unlimited MetroCard for traveling to and from John Jay for the duration of the program
• Receive free tuition and textbook for summer course and a $1,000 stipend for completing the program

• Be an incoming new first-time freshman who identify as female.
• The first semester of enrollment at John Jay must be fall 2026.
• Be a regular admit and not admitted to SEEK.
• Earned less than 21 credits (AP, College Now, etc.) prior to the first semester at John Jay College.
• Select an academic major in applied mathematics, cell & molecular biology, computer science & information security, forensic science, or toxicology
• Commit to being on campus each semester from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday to attend classes, labs, tutoring, and etc.
• Students cannot participate in both ACE and another JJAY special program (SEEK, Honors Scholars, APPLE Corps, Early Start, Adelante, etc.).

Summer Program Details

• Attend the Orientation, July 7-9, 2026
• Enroll in a 5-Week Summer course from July 13-August 13 and attend all classes and enrichment activities that meet Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00am-3:00pm
• Receive free tuition and textbook for summer course and a $1,000 stipend for completing the program
• Complete and submit the application for the Women in STEM cohort to join.
