Thank you for being interested in the College Now program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice! College Now is a free college transition program for NYC public schools students, started in the spring of 1984 at Kingsborough Community College with 449 students. In 2000, a partnership was formed between the City University of New York (CUNY) and NYC public school to expand to all CUNY undergraduate colleges. Today, over 22,000 students from over 470 NYC public schools participate in College Now.
As a gentle reminder, only students who attend a New York City public high school registered homeschool students, and students with disabilities whose private school tuition is supported by the NYC public schools can participate in College Now." Admission to the program is on a first-come-first-serve basis, with partner schools taking priority over non-partner schools.
The John Jay College Now (CN) program offers courses online (weekdays, 4:30 PM-6:45 PM) and in person (Saturday, 10:00 AM-2:30 PM). Students should consider which modality best fits their schedule and ability to travel to the John Jay campus.

This Summer, we will offer Criminal Justice 101, Psychology 101, and Sociology 101. Summer 2024 classes will be in person, and students will receive a MetroCard.
