If you are a New York state resident, 60 years of age or older, and have completed high school, you may attend John Jay College as a Senior Auditor for the college's undergraduate courses on a space available basis, without paying tuition. Senior Auditors pay $80 per semester/session.

Registration for Senior Auditors will begin approximately one week prior to the start of the semester. You may refer to the academic calendar for more information. Please note, once you are registered into your course/s, have been assigned an AUD grade, and the semester begins, we cannot drop you from your courses.

Steps to Apply as an Auditor:

1.    Utilize Global Class Search to view course offerings for the semester of your choosing. Once you find a course/s of interest, please take note of the course abbreviation, number, section, and CLASS number.

2.    Complete your Senior Auditor application. Alongside your application, submit verification of age. Acceptable forms of proof of age include a valid driver’s license, birth certificate, U.S. passport, or Medicaid card. The application provides you an option to upload documentation.
