The CUNY Inclusive Economy Initiative, CIE Sciences

Ready to explore careers and gain paid internship or job experience?

The CUNY Inclusive Economy (CIE) Program is a selective career development program, designed to support Forensic Science, Toxicology, and Cell & Molecular Biology majors:

  • Explore career options through paid opportunities
  • Gain valuable experience in industry relevant to their field of study
  • Enhance competitiveness for internships and early career positions

Limited to 200 active cohort members. Recruitment will occur August through September for the next cohort. 

To remain active and eligible:

  1. Meet with the Academic & Career Advisor once per semester. 
  2. Attend at least one event per semester.
  3. Remain in either the CMB, FOS, or TOX majors.
    1. If you switch out of the eligible majors listed, you will be dropped from the program.

Inform the CIE Sciences team about:

  • Applications sent so we can follow-up with our employer partners!
  • Interviews extended to help prepare you!
  • Any offers, whether you accept them or not to maintain records of your (and the program's) successes!

Once you graduate, you will receive formal support up to 6 months post-graduation.
