CYBER DEFENSE AND INFORMATION ASSURANCE CERTIFICATE
The Mathematics & Computer Science Department is in the process of applying to become a National Security Agency (NSA)/Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center of Academic Excellent in Cyber Defense. The following courses, which are required in the Computer Science and Information Security undergraduate program, cover the 17 Knowledge Units required for the NSA Center of Excellence designation. When the application is completed, the following courses will lead to a Certificate in Cyber Defense and Information Assurance.
The Center for Cybercrime Studies fulfills the NSA/DHS requirement that the courses be part of a college center that ensures that students and faculty have access to the latest technologies, research and information needed to become effective cyber security professionals.
