RE:  Tomorrow John Jay Email Will Transition to Microsoft 365 (M365) Email (Outlook.com)

Tomorrow evening, between 5:00 PM and 11:30 PM, John Jay College email will transition to Microsoft 365 (M365) Email (Outlook.com). All new email messages will be delivered to Microsoft 365 once the transition begins.

What You Need to Do

  • Log in to https://outlook.com using your @login.cuny.edu username and password.
  • You may be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Microsoft 365.
  • Reconfigure any mobile email apps and/or desktop email clients (e.g., Outlook, Apple Mail).

  • Reference guides and step-by-step instructions are available on the M365 Email Migration webpage.
  • When contacting the Helpdesk, please include:
    • Your full name
    • CUNYfirst login
    • EMPLID
    • John Jay email address
  • Support is available:
    • In person at the Helpdesk on L2 in the New Building
    • Via remote support by appointment by contacting the helpdesk
    • By phone at 212-237-8200
    • By Email at helpdesk@jjay.cuny.edu
  • Please note that we expect high support volume during this transition. Email-related support requests will be prioritized.
  • Some existing email and content may not be immediately available following the transition and will continue to update as we perform a final sync. If you are missing recent email, there is no need to contact the Helpdesk.
