RE: Welcome Our New Director of Professional Development and Employee Relations

I am pleased to share that, following a successful national search, Mahindra Guman has joined John Jay College as our new Director of Professional Development and Employee Relations.

Mahindra brings more than a decade of experience as a Learning & Development professional, with a strong background leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across higher education, nonprofit, and public sector organizations. He holds a Master of Science in Business Management & Leadership from the CUNY School of Professional Studies and recently completed an MBA in Business Analytics from Pace University.

Most recently, Mahindra spent several years at Pace University, where he led the design, development, and integration of AI-enabled solutions and processes that supported organizational effectiveness and innovation. His work reflects a thoughtful balance between people-centered leadership and forward-thinking strategy.

Mahindra is deeply passionate about education, professional growth, and social development, and we are excited to welcome his expertise and energy to the John Jay community. In his new role, he will help lead efforts focused on employee relations, professional development, workplace learning, and initiatives that support a positive and productive work environment for our faculty and staff.

Outside of work, Mahindra enjoys gardening, cooking, and promoting healthy living.
