9-15-25: Railing Replacement – JayWalk

RE:         Railing Replacement – JayWalk

We are pleased to announce that our JayWalk Railing replacement project is ready to commence. This project is part of the College’s extensive infrastructure and safety upgrades and will consist of replacing the existing railing on the JayWalk with a taller railing that is weather resistant and aesthetically pleasing. In addition, new safety call boxes will be strategically placed on the JayWalk that will provide direct communication to the College’s Public Safety Department in the event of an emergency.

Work will begin on September 16^th with the construction of a sidewalk bridge on the 59^th Street side of the New Building near the Atrium Entrance. Shortly thereafter, work will commence on the North side of the JayWalk with the installation of a construction fence to allow the work to be safely performed.
