David J. Csuha holds an undergraduate degree in security management and a master’s degree in protection management. He has conducted extensive research related to geographic information systems, information warfare and the changing technological role of security services in the 21st century.  David’s expertise spans GIS, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and crime analysis. He has developed a cybersecurity certificate program for a local community college and has taught courses for John Jay College including Computer Applications in Criminal Justice, Crime Mapping, and GIS for Emergency Services.  David also teaches cybersecurity and Microsoft office software courses for a continuing education program.

With over twenty years of experience in academia, David’s courses challenge students to engage deeply with the subject matter and prioritize interactive and student-centered learning approaches. His research and practical experience in GIS and cybersecurity inform his teaching, allowing him to provide students with relevant and up-to-date knowledge that prepares them for success. Whether through one-on-one mentoring, providing constructive feedback, or connecting students with resources, David is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and professional goals.
