  • National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance, Inc. – NAAFA is a non-profit human rights organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for fat people. NAAFA has been working since 1969 to eliminate discrimination based on body size and provide fat people with the tools for self-empowerment through public education, advocacy, and member support.
  • National Eating Disorders Association – The National Eating Disorders Association came into being in 2001, when Eating Disorders Awareness & Prevention (EDAP) joined forces with the American Anorexia Bulimia Association (AABA) to create the largest eating disorders prevention and advocacy organization in the world. It is the mission of the National Eating Disorders Association to eliminate eating disorders and body dissatisfaction.

  • Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) – TOPS, an international family of all ages, sizes, and shapes from all walks of life, dedicated to helping each other takeoff and keep off pounds sensibly, has nothing to sell and no products to endorse. TOPS offers fellowship while you change to a healthier, new lifestyle and learn to stay there. Search online for the TOPS Chapter nearest you.
  • AL-ANON and ALATEEN – Provides information, support, and resources to families and friends of alcoholics.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) – Offers a variety of services, including support group meetings and an AA book for beginners
  • Do It Now Foundation – Provides brochures on ecstasy and other club drugs.
