Resubmission

If your proposal is not successful, don’t give up! Resubmission is the best predictor of future success.

  1. Consider reviewer feedback. While rejection isn’t easy, reviews are meant to be constructive. If you don’t receive reviewer comments back, ask the sponsor for any feedback, or ask if a call is possible to debrief.
  2. A revision and resubmission may be appropriate to this or another program. Speak with sponsored programs staff on next steps.
  3. It may also be helpful to serve as a peer reviewer if you haven’t already done so (get to know the review process so you can revise your proposal based on your experience serving on a review panel!).
  4. Revisit the steps in the Grant Proposal Life Cycle.
