Create a New Lesson in the New Content Experience

Create a New Lesson 

In Brightspace NCE, a Lesson is an organizational container used to group related learning materials. In the Classic Content view it would be the equivalent to a sub-module. 

  1. On the Course Navbar, select Content.
  2. From the Table of Contents, select a Unit that you want to add the Lesson to.
  3. Select Create New and then select New Lesson.

  1. On the New Lesson page, enter the following:
  • Enter a Name for the lesson.
  • Select Add Due Date and enter a Due Date if needed.
  • Enter a Description for your new lesson.
  • Select Availability Dates to set a Start Date and End Date for the new lesson if needed. Using Start/End Dates will restrict access to materials before and after dates set. It is not required to use a Start/End Date. 
  • Use the Visibility toggle to make the lesson visible or hidden from learners on creation.
  • Select Save.
