Bio
Sasha is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Economics Department at John Jay College. She is trained in global and development studies and has lived extensively abroad in China, Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, Costa Rica, Turkey, India and the United Kingdom.
Sasha's main area of expertise is colonization, global studies, and decolonial development discourse. She has carried out extensive research on landmine disarmament in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Other research has led her to India, Chile, and China. She is particularly interested in exploring the historical and sociological underpinnings of capitalism.
