Post-Submission Considerations

Proposals will go through a review process. If your proposal is competitive, some sponsors, particularly federal agencies, will request additional materials/information after submission or Just-In-Time (JIT). These can include updated personnel documents, IRB approvals, revised budgets, and others. Contact sponsored programs staff for assistance with any JIT requests. 

Successful Proposals: Sponsors will issue an award letter or notice if your proposal is successful. Please notify our post-award staff immediately if you receive an award. Awards can only be negotiated and accepted by Research Foundation of CUNY Legal Affairs, or in some cases, CUNY or John Jay College legal counsel. Neither PIs nor sponsored programs staff are able to bind the College or the Research Foundation of CUNY and should refrain from signing any grant documents.
