About PSC Program
The SASP Peer Success Coach Program was founded in 2011 by Nancy Yang, who is now John Jay’s Director of Undergraduate Foundations, and Katalin Szur, who is now John Jay’s Associate Dean for Student Success and Innovation. Over time, our team has grown and evolved from 11 Peer Mentors to over 50 Peer Success Coaches!
Today, the team is made up of student leaders and professional staff who support students across First Year Seminars, Transfer Seminars, and select special cohorts like APPLE Corps and ¡Adelante! Our team also includes the many faculty and staff partners that we collaborate with every semester.
