Brightspace Attendance Tool

Adding Attendance Link to Course Navbar

The Attendance Tool is not visible to students by default. To add the link, you will need to create a Custom Navbar and assign it to display in your course.

Note: Using a Custom Navbar replaces the College Default Navbar, so you will not receive future navbar updates from ODL LMS Support.

  1. In the course, select the three dots that appear when you hover your cursor over the right side of the Course Navbar. From the drop-down, select Customize This Course Navbar

  1. Select Yes! I'll work with a copy of the navbar. This will bring you to the Edit Navbar page. It is recommended to rename the new navbar to easily find it and reuse it.

Create a New Register

An Attendance Register are entries that track attendance for a course or a specific activity.
