Study Abroad Fair
Tuesday, February 24 11am-3pm 'Hound Square Stop by our annual fair to get information on the various study abroad programs available to John Jay students!

Summer Study-Abroad in Oxford, England

  • Tuesday, December 9; community hour (1:40pm)
  • Thursday, February 26; community hour (1:40pm)
    • Haaren Hall 410 (study abroad conference room)

Develop your creative writing skills in the medieval town of Oxford! Home to oldest university in the English speaking world, Oxford will be your home as you earn 3 credits while taking Creative Nonfiction.

 

Summer Study-Abroad in Cadiz, Spain

  • Additional info sessions coming in Spring 2026! 

Spend your June in one of the oldest coastal cities in Spain -- Cádiz! This new, 6-credit program studies colonialism and decolonization through the prisms of anthropology, history, and linguistics. Applications are due March 9, 2026.

 

Summer Study-Abroad in Vienna, Austria

Join Prof. Barberet in this info session on our popular Transnational Crime program. This 3-week program at the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC) is located in the beautiful central European city of Vienna, Austria. You'll study various elements of transnational crime from experts in the field, visit IGOs and NGOs, and more! This program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Introduction to Study Abroad

At this general information session, you can find out everything you need to know to study abroad... when to go, where to go, how to apply, how much it costs, CUNY programs, non-CUNY programs, etc. First-years, sophomores and juniors are encouraged to attend. If you are planning to study abroad in the years to come--during the semester, summer, or winter, come get your questions answered!

 

JJC/CUNY Winter Study Abroad Programs

If you're interested in studying abroad this winter, this Zoom info session is for you! Join us as we go through the study abroad programs running during the upcoming January term available to John Jay students, including JJC, CUNY, and provider programs. 

 

Financing Study Abroad

  • Info sessions for Fall 2025 are over, we will have new sessions the following semester.

Curious about the different ways to finance your study abroad experience? Join our financing study abroad info sessions in coordination with the Financial Aid office where we'll cover financial aid, scholarships, and loans. These are via Zoom, bring your questions!
 

Spring/Fall Study-Abroad in Queensland, Australia

  • Info sessions for Fall 2025 are over, we will have new sessions the following semester.

Spend a semester an academic year in Australia at the University of the Sunshine Coast! With plenty of criminal justice, criminology, counseling, law, computer science, STEM, and other classes to choose from, this makes for a great fall or spring program. Choose either 4 classes, or 3 classes plus a 3-credit cybercrime internship. Applications are due Friday, October 17.

 

Winter Study-Abroad in Quintana Roo, Mexico

Join Prof. Montes and learn about this opportunity to travel around the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico immersing yourself in Mayan culture, from visiting ancient Mayan ruins to interacting with Mayan communities! Mayan culture is very much alive and well, and this is your chance to learn and experience it firsthand. Applications are due October 31.

 

CUNY Paris Info Sessions
