Andres Guzmanacha is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Health and Physical Education and has been at CUNY John Jay since 2009. Prior to joining the staff at John Jay, he taught for 7 years in the New York City Department of Education, at both the middle and high school levels. In his capacity at John Jay he teaches 2 courses PED 103/PED 110.
Andres was trained in and developed his teaching practices at SUNY Cortland, where he majored in teaching Physical Education for students in grades K-12. He has also been an active member of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance since 2005. Along with his works within NYAHERD he has become a Certified Physical Best Instructor. He enjoys working with students and feels that one of the major responsibilities of faculty at the college is to mentor future professionals to commit and develop passion for their chosen field of study.
