Bio
Dr. Thomas Spiridellis, DC, DACBSP, EMT, ATC., FIAMA is a licensed Chiropractor Kinesiologist, a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, Certified Athletic Trainer and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He has been an Assistant Professor in the Physical Education Department at John Jay College of Criminal Justice since 2004 and former Physician-In-Charge at John Jay College Department of Athletics. Dr. Spiridellis earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Cum Laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, (1981). He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The City College of New York (Anthropology) and Logan College (Biology) and a Master’s Degree from The New School for Social Research (Media, Film TV).
He has also earned a Post-Graduate Diplomate Degree and Certification as a Sports Physician and a Diplomate in Sports Injuries . His professional background also includes a selection by the United States Olympic Committee as the Chiropractor for the USA Medical Team for the Para-PanAmerican Games in 2007. He presently maintains an active Manhattan-based practice specializing in the Performance Arts, Sports and Orthopedic Injuries, Kinesiology and Rehabilitation. He has previously served as Medical Director of the New York City PSAL’s On-Site Emergency Medicine Program and as Medical Director of the Metropolitan Athletic Congress Track and Field Association, division of USA Track and Field Association.
